Easter is another one of those holidays when celebrations are shared which bring us together and make us stop and appreciate our loved ones, and the things we are grateful for. Families get together to celebrate and enjoy good food and company. And of course another reason to buy, consume and use this results in lots and lots of waste – wasted money and waste that ends up in the bin. To avoid this here are some tips to help you make that concious choice not to add to this waste.

Tips for a sustainable Easter:

Make your own Easter eggs and other treats

Give some commercial chocolate eggs, but choose alternatives as well

Look for the least amount of packaging and recycle it

Look for fairtrade chocolate

Source your chocolate and eggs locally

Decorate real eggs

Happy Easter to you!
