Youth Wildlife Ambassador, Gio Fitzpatrick leads Friends of Elster Creek to keep track of the local wildlife in Elster creek and Elwood canal.

You can keep up with what's on in the local animal world with the Ester Creek Specials board.

For Harmony Day on March 21 this year, Friends of Elster Creek set themselves the challenge of spotting more species in the local area than can be seen at the Melbourne Zoo, that is, more than 320.

The volunteers managed to do it, recording 372 species on the day!

Gio often leads wildlife walks, keep an eye out for these online or the Friends of Elster Creek Facebook page.
